![]() ![]() ![]() couldnt fight it head on head so used the tanks uber speed to bomb around the hedge rows and landed multiple shots. I love the tank combat, i had a Churchill tank and was fighting against a panther. I recommend this to any player who has battlefield 2 strongly just as I recommend PR. One way I like to see FH2 is as company of heroes, the first person shooter mod. Having said that, it feels great to take out large german tanks like the tiger in weaker allied tanks via flanking or a higher level of "skill". While this is realistic and balanced by the allies having more tanks at hand, I find it particulary grating that I fire 5 rounds into a tiger's backend with a cromwell, only to get killed in one hit by a panzerfaust while the tiger is apparently fine. The coaxial machine guns cut infantry down at a few hundred metres and the high explosive rounds are like artillery shells! My only criticism is that allied armour often gets beaten hands down by german tanks in single shots but german tanks are not often taken out in single shots. ![]() Tanking is a thousand times better than vanilla and feels smoother than PR. And the smg's are very difficult to control before you compensate for the recoil. ![]() For example, firing the garand or any semi-auto rifle cannot be done any where near accurate unless you fire maybe once a second, suppressive fire is difficult to place quickly. My criticism is that recoil feels too strong and accuracy is "too quickly gained" after sprinting. The combat takes place at longer ranges than vanilla, although the weapons don't have a huge reach like in PR. Knives are very useful vs blot action rifles, as they can't fire accurate while moving and up close. Grenades are powerful, dealing massive damage in a good radius and rifle nades make my day. Infantry combat is great, rifles are godlike at long range with single hit kills and up close, smg's smash down rifles brutally. Favourite weapon is the m1 garand, 8 rounds of awesome coupled with PING! It's pretty damn awesome, although I still need to learn to use a lot of the stuff. Got this 2 days ago, been playing it for hours and hours the last two days. ![]()
